Check Out Used Car Sales – First!

When you are looking to purchase a car, there are countless steps in the process.and countless details to consider. It can quickly become quite an overwhelming and discouraging process. I have been a financial advisor for many years, so maybe I am a bit biased in this process, but I have one main bit of advice for anyone looking to purchase a car: check out used car sales, and do it first!

I have heard and received a lot of advice that people should consider new car sales and used car sales equally when they are trying to make a vehicle decision. That is okay advice, but I believe that even better advice would be to look at the possibilities that used car sales offer before you even attempt to purchase a new car.

There are many reasons for this suggestion, but the first is simply to be aware of how much money a new car really is. Life is expensive, and there is never an end to the number of bills that need to be paid or responsibilities that need to be taken care of. Looking at used car sales rather than just for new cars

Many Denver Schools to Close Campuses During Lunchtime

Beginning with the fall of 2006 school year, many high schools in the Denver schools system will close their campuses during lunchtime. This means that Denver schools students will not be allowed to leave campus to eat at nearby restaurants, fast foods, and convenience stores.

Denver schools superintendent Michael Bennet introduced the final draft of the new policy, called the Denver Plan, in the spring of 2006. Bennet believes his plan will reduce the increasing afternoon truancy within the high schools.

The Denver schools plan has taken several drafts to reach implementation. The first draft was introduced to Denver schools principals in November of 2005, suggesting that schools could submit waiver requests by April to exempt the older students in 11th and 12th grades. A second draft was presented to the Denver schools principals in February 2006, amending the original policy by stating that more time was needed to determine how the policy would be implemented. At a March meeting of the Denver schools principals, administrators presented the final plan, which requires all freshmen to remain on campus. Waivers may be requested for the other grades of 10th, 11th and 12th.

After the meeting, principals scrambled to make

FIFA Friendly Match up Ecuador vs. Colombia

It seems that qualifying for the World Cup in South America has become very difficult. For Colombia in the last two editions far from that magnificent campaign made by the Cafeteros in the 94 edition in USA and the 98 edition in France, Colombia did not qualify for the for Germany 2006.

They fell to sixth place in the South American region just one point behind Uruguay that had another chance to qualify for the World Cup in a playoff series against Australia but failed.

The Colombian team continues to have friendly matches in order not to loss continuity, since they are not going to the World Cup. This is the only way to expose their players to the international World Cup scenario.

It was very disappointing for the Colombians that their National Team did not qualify for this year edition. All the Colombians are fanatics of this sport. They have a big tradition in football and they are preparing for the next edition. They cant let another ticket to the World Cup slip away; so expect this team to be very good for the next qualifying round in South America.

Ecuador was one of the South

The Shift In The Economy

Many of the jobs in President Bush’s “recovery” are low-wage, low-benefit service and retail jobs. The overall growth in jobs masks a harsher reality for families trying to maintain or build a middle class standard of living.

Key among them: debt coupled with paycheck paralysis.

Most people coming out of college with or without a degree are starting life off with about $20,000 in debt trying to get a degree.

Then they try to support themselves on low wages after getting out of school.

A generation ago finishing high school was what was needed to get a job and to have a reasonable amount of security.

Now what is needed is a university degree and not just any degree, look at all people working in low class jobs with an arts degree.

In the last 30 years compensation for somebody with a university degree has actually decreased when adjusted for inflation.

Personal bankruptcy filings nationwide last year exceeded 2 million, the highest annual level on record.

There were significant increases in consumer bankruptcy filings in every region. The total of 2,043,535 was up 32 percent over the 1,552,967 filed in 2004. That translates to one in every

Learn From The Characters

Your life is shaped and influenced by the people that you live with, work with, and hang out with. People are definitely the single biggest source of influence in each other’s lives. If you think of your life as a story, the people in your life are the characters in the story. Just like you can learn from characters in any good novel, you can learn many things from the characters in your own story.

I met a woman once that kept a journal specifically about things she was learning from the people, or characters, in her life. She had just spent a summer backpacking in Europe and the pages of her journal were filled with biographies of the charcters that she met that summer. Some were more influential than others, of course, but she was intentional about learning from even characters that showed up in her story for just a few minutes. I was so impressed by her commitment to learning from living and I was inspired to create a similar journal just for the characters in my own life.

Since starting my own characters journal, I have learned more from people than I ever thought possible. I

Generally speaking, repetitive stress injuries are referred to by many experts in the field of computer ergonomics as Cumulative Trauma Disorders.
